Top Solar Companies & Suppliers in Delhi/NCR – A Complete Guide
Top Solar Companies & Suppliers in Delhi/NCR – A Complete Guide
There are a number of suppliers to buy solar PV panels used in solar power plant for generating solar energy for home/industrial/commercial roof top or ground mounted. These solar PV panel suppliers are divided into various tiers out of which Tier 1 suppliers are considered best. The division of solar PV panel suppliers into tiers is done mostly based on the financial strength of these companies while few technical parameters are also considered in this review.
Mostly the solar PV panel market is dominated by the Chinese suppliers that include
- ReneSola
- Trina Solar
- Canadian Solar
- BYD
- Herion
- Talesun
- Chint / Astro Energy
- CSun
There are thin film solar module suppliers like First Solar also in the market. However, majority of the solar system installations are done using PV solar panels.
Key Domestic Indian PV panel suppliers will include the following –
- Vikram
- Waree
- Adani Solar
- Renewsys
Most of these panel suppliers import solar cells from China and South East Asian countries which are further used to manufacture solar panels locally in India.
Further, there are a number of solar panels manufacturers in India who are selling capacity in domestic markets –
- Sukam
- Jackson
For availing subsidies from MNRE and state government agencies for setting up solar systems at home/house or for any not for profit business, there is a requirement to use the domestic solar panels.
Apart from the above, there are a number of solar panels that are manually being manufactured in India without any proper certifications and quality tests. These panels are cheaply available (at 30%-50%) cheaper than the branded good quality modules at Nehru Place and other such hubs. There is a also a big market of second hand panels in Delhi / NCR which can be sourced cheaply but without any reliability. A number of cases have come in the notice where the Plant are not working properly due to such solar panels being used. Such panels are largely coming from China , after they are refurbished and repacked. While tier 1 panels are available for Rs 25-27/Wp these refurbished panels are available for Rs.12-16/Wp.
